Welcome to Chalk + Cheese Local Action for Rural Communities! We are a locally led funding Programme with a difference – not only do we want to support your great project ideas, but we also want you to help decide how the funding is spent. Getting projects funded through Chalk + Cheese is all about you, and the other people in the area like you – people who really care about the local community they live in, want to see positive change, and want to be a part of making that happen.

Chalk + Cheese covers West Dorset but not Dorchester, Purbeck, Portland and the rural bits of Weymouth and has secured £3.1million to improve the economic wellbeing of the area with funding available until the end of 2013. The funding is being delivered through the Local Action Group, a Group that wants to support your project ideas. We need ideas that support existing and encourage new land and marine based enterprises in your area – activities that will have a long term beneficial impact on where you live and work.
