Sustainable Development Fund

Chalk and Cheese delivers the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty's Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) alongside the Leader+ grants. Both grants have the same application form to make things easier for you,
so you can apply for both in one go. The Local Action Group assess the projects, and then based on their recommendation funding is received via the AONB Team. The SDF can fund 75% of your projects costs
up to a maximum of £20,000, and seeks to support projects that:

Conserve and enhance the natural beauty and heritage of the AONB.

Support the social and economic well being of local communities in sustainable ways that care for the environment.

Have the support and involvement of local people or meet a recognised local need.

Help deliver the Dorset AONB Management Plan.

All funds for 2007 have already been committed. However please do keep an eye on this section as
new funds for 2008 may soon become available.
